Helen Cravatt James
1923 - 1991

Helen Cravatt James, who passed away in Oct. 1991, was honored posthumously for her work helping those with alcohol and drug addictions. She helped establish, and later managed, the Kullihoma Alcohol/Drug Treatment Center.

Ranked as the best such facility in Oklahoma, the center was renamed the Helen Cravatt James Center in honor of her work on April 22, 1992.

Those who knew her say Mrs. James was so motivated to help others that all her employees and counselors came to have the same burning desire to make people whole again.
